Florida Rescue Ranch Inc.

was founded in December 2019, but our journey began long before that, we have been rescuing animals since 1999. In 2016, after saving a pair of horses from a kill pen, we purchased 22 acres to create a true haven for animals in need.
Today, we provide lifelong sanctuary to horses, donkeys, cows, pigs, goats, dogs, cats, chickens, and even bees. At Florida Rescue Ranch, we believe every animal deserves the chance to become their happiest, healthiest self. Each one is unique, and some need more time than others to heal—and we honor that. We give them the time, space, and care they need, even if it takes years.
Mental health comes first here. It is incredibly rewarding to watch an animal arrive fearful or broken, and with patience and compassion, transform into who they were always meant to be.

It has always been our dream and mission to connect animals and humans through opportunities to learn, grow, and heal together.

In 2025, we began hosting Farm Days for families from Believe and Achieve, a local nonprofit that provides resources and support for neurodiverse learners. These special visits allow participants to experience meaningful connections with the animals while spending time in a peaceful, supportive environment.

In 2026, we expanded our outreach by launching our first Adult Special Needs Program in partnership with The Rise Center of Indian River County, and we are currently planning an additional program with The ARC of Indian River County.

We also introduced an educational learning program through Horse Powered Reading™, combining literacy development with hands-on experiences alongside our sanctuary animals.

Through each of these programs, we continue working toward our mission of creating a place where animals and people can learn, heal, and thrive together.
